Family photo shoot at Castle Coch, Cardiff

We chose the perfect Autumn day for Pete & Laura’s family photo shoot. The sun was just starting to peek through the trees and it wasn’t yet too cold. I love Castle Coch, it’s such a magical place; a fairytale castle set high on top of a mountain, surrounded by beautiful woods. The trees seem to be particularly beautiful this year, vibrant yellows, oranges and reds, the woods bursting with colour. The light was just perfect too for our shoot, creating long shadows through the trees.

Elsie did brilliantly as we wandered around the castle and played with the leaves. I love her expression as her Dad threw the leaves in the air. With a child this age I believe the best photos always come from the natural moments. We explored the area and let her play and I love the quiet natural moments she has with each of her parents. Children grow and change so fast, it is a privilege and joy to be able to capture this sweet family as they are now.
