Muslim wedding photography at De Courceys Manor, Cardiff

It was a privilege to photograph Hafsah & Mohsen’s muslim wedding celebration at the beautiful De Courceys Manor in Cardiff. Despite a rainy week and changeable forecast, the weather stayed dry. I was delighted that we had some gorgeous late afternoon sunlight for their bridal portraits and group shots. Having already done their religious ceremony, this was a beautiful, romantic setting for their wedding celebration. This was my first time photographing at De Courceys Manor, and I can see why it is such a popular wedding venue. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the venue itself is intimate and beautifully decorated. I loved the little touches that the bride and groom had also added, the wall of flowers, behind the golden regal sofa and the table decorations all came together beautifully.

We took some time in the afternoon to take some portraits of the bride and groom before anyone else arrived. Most of these will remain private for religious reasons, as they wanted some natural shots together around the venue without the bride’s head covering. We then had some time to take some family group shots before the main celebration in the evening.

For the evening celebration, the bride and groom walked in together to cheers and applause and dancing. Hafsah & Mohsen followed the Islamic tradition of gender segregation and so after a short while the groom and all the men left, leaving the women to enjoy their food and the rest of the party. There are many more photographs that I won’t include here, but I hope that these few will give you a flavour of the day. You can click on any image to view it larger as a slideshow, please feel free to share this page with friends. This was a very colourful and joy filled day and I wish you both a lifetime of happiness together.
