Teresa & Shabba at Tythe Barn, Priston Mill

 

I am delighted to be able to share some beautiful Priston Mill wedding photography from Teresa & Shabba’s wedding day recently. Priston Mill is an elegant and historic popular wedding venue set in the rolling Somerset hills and near to Bristol and Bath. They have two wedding venues to choose from and Teresa & Shabba chose the rustic Tythe Barn for their wedding day. I met Teresa & her bridesmaids at a lovely house nearby for the getting ready shots. I love documenting the getting ready process as the girls apply make-up and finishing touches to hair. These are often some of my favourite shots of the day, capturing the emotion as it all becomes real when the dresses and shoes are put on and the flowers arrive. I love seeing the bridesmaids and family’s reactions as they see the Bride in her wedding dress for the first time.

The Tythe Barn was a lovely backdrop for the wedding ceremony, decorated with flowers and twinkling lights. There was a lot of love during this ceremony and it was clear that all their guests were delighted for this sweet couple. After the ceremony we snuck off for a walk in the gorgeous Somerset countryside. The weather had been predicted to be thunderstorms and potential rain all day but the rain held off until the evening. It was a muggy, hot day but the light was a photographer’s dream. We found a local field and Teresa & Shabba enjoyed a few quiet moments together as husband and wife. I always encourage couples to take some time out on the wedding day to just take a breath and enjoy the moment. I love taking these portraits and many couples comment that they really enjoyed taking some time out to be together.

There was a lot of laughter during this wedding, especially during the speeches and I loved documenting the dancing in the evening. I was particularly impressed by the father of the Groom’s moves! This is only part one for Teresa & Shabba as they have another hindu wedding ceremony in London soon which I am very excited about. So watch this space for wedding #2!
