Spring Family Photos amongst the Daffodils on the Rame peninsula, Torpoint

Spring is FINALLY here after the longest winter in history. Well, it has felt that way to me anyway, with covid lockdowns and short days without much sun I am extremely happy to welcome spring back into my life!

I know I say it every year but there is just something so magical about spring. Over the last few years I have got the gardening bug big time. Every year I marvel at how I can plant seeds into soil, give them the right growing conditions and they actually become living, growing things!

My photography has always been inspired by nature. I started out taking landscape photography and making art prints (I still sell my art prints and cards and you can see them here).

I was super excited when I noticed these daffodil fields close to where I live on the Rame Peninsula near Torpoint. This part of Cornwall grows many of the UK’s daffodils and the fields are simply stunning.

Always scouting out new locations for shooting family portraits we also checked out the daffodils and beautiful grounds at Mount Edgcumbe House & Country Park which would be an ideal spot for a family photography shoot.
