I just had to share this gorgeous Cornwall family photography beach shoot. Isabeau and family were on holiday and wanted to get some natural photographs of their family with their new addition. After getting in touch with me I suggested heading to North Cornwall to make use of the beautiful backdrop.

Treyarnon Bay is one of my favourite beaches with it’s golden sand and beautiful rocks and coves, it work really well for family shoots. Here in Cornwall we are spoilt for choice when it comes to beautiful beaches. There are over 300 and I would love to make it my mission to visit every one!

The forecast was for possible rain but fortunately the rain held off until the last 5 minutes and the overcast sky gave us a beautiful diffused light. I love these kinds of natural family shoots. I always work in a relaxed way and many of my past clients have commented on my ability to put the most camera shy people at ease. We tend to go for a walk and I will make suggestions as I see shots. Rather than posing you, I give suggestions and prompts to help you relax and get the best out of you.

Are you a beach family or do you prefer hiking on the Moors or playing in the forests? We have it all here in Cornwall a short distance from where I live. I love being outdoors and know from experience how much better kids are when they are allowed to be themselves and run free. My aim is always for you to enjoy your family portrait shoot and look back on your family photographs and remember how you felt in that moment.
