I’m delighted to share with you this super cute winter wedding, with wedding place settings made of Lego and a gorgeous bride and groom! Jenny and Chris were married at Fairyhill in South Wales and they were the lucky winners of Hannah Timm‘s ‘win your wedding photography’ competition! These two were such a lovely, creative couple it was a joy to be part of their celebrations.
This venue is simply stunning, filled with colour and creative touches: the whole place is so cosy and atmospheric with twinkling lights and fabulous lighting (we’re loving the neon!)

How did you choose your photographer?
We won our photography on Facebook! She held a competition and we were lucky enough to win!
Were you pleased with your wedding photographer? Do tell… we love a brilliant review!
We were thrilled with Hannah. Really accommodating to the photos we wanted and she perfectly captured the day for us! The photos were gorgeous!
Tell us about your venue – what made this place special for you?
We love Fairyhills because it is a purpose made wedding venue. Everything just works perfectly and the venue is absolutely stunning! They took care of everything for us, we really didn’t have to do much in terms of decorating/organising the venue.
Did you love wearing your outfits? How was the dress / suit shopping experience?
We don’t dress up very often so it was nice to put on some nice clothes for a change! I think the fact that we and everyone we were with all got the opportunity to party and look beautiful was great! We are both very simple so the shopping process was quite easy, I had my dress even before we booked the venue!
As cake lovers here at English Wedding we’d LOVE to know who made your cake, and how delicious it was?
Our cake was made by Michelle from Scrum Diddly and it was absolutely delicious! We had 3 flavours, coffee, salted caramel and white chocolate and raspberry. It was a semi naked cake decorated with fruit and macaroons, so wonderful!
Did you hire a florist? Tell us about any floral amazingness
Eve Weatherley was great! She somehow managed to create the most beautiful flowers from just 2 conversations together! They were so much better than we could have imagined!
Tell us about any special personal touches, or creative projects you made yourselves
Because the venue is already so beautiful, we didn’t have to worry too much about decorations. We really focused on tables decorations and we wanted to make them personal to us and also to our guest! We are big Lego and Star Wars fans so we wanted to incorporate this into the day! We name our tables after planets from Star Wars and handmade centrepieces out of Lego! We also then handmade our wedding favours, we made mini Lego figures of all of our guests and had them on the table, it was a long process but really fun to make!
What was your first dance song? Why did you choose it?
Our first dance was Baby, I’m Yours by the Artic Monkeys. We chose this because we just love it! It was a beautiful song to dance to!
