Avril & Scott’s Cornish countryside wedding
Tredudwell Manor is an exquisite barn wedding venue in Cornwall complete with an 18th-century country manor house set in it’s own peaceful gardens and woodlands. Surrounded by nature, with breathtaking views stretching out to Cornwall’s Heritage coastline and the blue sparkling sea beyond.
Avril & Scott have been sweethearts for a long time having met years ago on holiday in Italy, where their families became close friends. Avril’s family, being from the midlands, used to holiday in Cornwall regularly so they would meet up. They eventually started dating when they were both at Exeter University. Scott proposed in September 2021 and their daughter joined them in 2022. This wedding had a lovely family feel as both sides are obviously very close and they share such a long history.
Bridal prep
Tredudwell Manor is an exclusive use wedding venue that includes accommodation for 16 – 18 of your bridal party. This means you can spread the celebrations out over a couple of days and enjoy a stress free morning getting ready without worrying about travel. I love capturing bridal and groom prep as there are so many special moments in the build up to that special moment when you say I do. It also gives me a chance to capture all those special details you have picked out. In this case Avril had personally decorated the wedding trainers for her snd her bridesmaids.
Avril & Scott added second photographer coverage to their package to give a variety of angles and to allow these special moments to be documented for both bride and groom. Avril’s first look with her Dad on the stairs was particularly moving.
Outdoor wedding ceremony
My absolute favourite kind of wedding is outside in the sunshine. Tredudwell Manor is a flexible wedding space and works well in every season, but Avril & Scott were very fortunate that the weather played ball they could get married outside as they hoped. The backdrop for this outdoor ceremony was simply stunning, looking out across the rolling hills of Cornwall. Who could want more when saying their vows?
Country & Coastal wedding venue
Tredudwell Manor is set in the heart of the Cornish countryside but is also just a stones throw from the coast making it an ideal wedding location. The grounds themselves are stunning and you could easily take all the photographs you could need on site. However, if you’re like me and always want to make the most of being near the sea then it’s just a short drive to the coast and some epic backdrops for wedding photographs.
The wedding reception
I always seek to capture the story and feeling of your wedding day. I love to capture all those details that you have spent so long thinking about. All the decoration details, favours and little touches, I make sure you have a beautiful record of how it all looked but also felt. I love capturing the joy and laughter of the speeches and all those little moments of guests interacting. Often you won’t see these things on the day but it’s my job to observe and record it all for you.
Evening party
The wedding barn is a large modern flexible space that easily transforms for the evening party. It was a lovely warm summer evening and many guests enjoyed the evening sun as the band played in the evening. I love to create some magical night shots to finish the story of the day. Avril & Scott went with my vision and these last few shots are some of my favourites from the day.
