As a mother myself I know how fast time flies and how quickly kids grow and change. When was the last time you were in the photo? There’s always a reason not to do it, but one day photos will be all you have to look back on. Nostalgic by nature, I am always looking to capture those special snuggles, looks and touches that take you right back to how you felt in that moment.
Welcome to the camera shy
Don’t worry if you feel a bit camera shy, many of us feel this way. By the end of our session you will feel like you’ve been hanging out with an old friend. Just relax, enjoy spending time together and I will do the rest.
Natural, real moments
I don’t believe in posing but watch for natural, real moments of connection. Many of my reviews comment on my ability to put even the most camera shy people at ease and get the best out of them.
Get into nature
I love outdoor shoots as it gives the kids more space to play and explore. The best photographs are always the natural ones when the kids are just being themselves.
Choose a place special to your family – your favourite beach, forest or lake, or let me suggest one of my favourite family shoot locations in Cornwall or Devon.
Let the kids run wild & free
I like to encourage a fun atmosphere for family portraits so that everyone enjoys themselves on the day. Tickles, piggybacks, water fights are all encouraged. Whatever makes your family laugh and enjoy being together. There is no awkward stiff posing here, just natural, real moments.
