Elizabeth & John’s engagement portrait shoot

It was so lovely to do an engagement portrait shoot with Elizabeth and John in the grounds of Ashton Court Mansion, Bristol. Having rained all week I was praying for a dry day and I was delighted that we got a lovely sunny, crisp winter’s day for the shoot. Pre wedding shoots are a great chance for me as the photographer to get to know you both better as a couple and see how you interact with each other and the camera. You can see how I work and get an idea of what to expect on the wedding day. It also helps me see what works for you and give me an idea of the kind of shots you are looking for on the wedding day.

Ashton Court turned out to the perfect place for this shoot as this was where Elizabeth and John went on their first official date. Highlights for me were capturing the natural moments between these two and the dappled sunlight streaming through the ancient trees.Β  Here are a few of my favourites to share with you:

What a beautiful couple, they are getting married in less than a month and I’m looking forward to the big day.
