Derek & Liz; Engagement Portrait photographs at Ashton Court, Bristol

I had a lovely time with Derek, Liz and their 3 year old daughter Emily at Ashton Court, Bristol the other day. The day started off a little chilly, but soon warmed up as we wandered around Ashton Court’s grounds taking photographs. Emily was a little shy at first, but soon warmed up and allowed us to get some cute family shots. Grandma was on hand to help take her for a walk so we could also concentrate on getting some portraits of the Bride & Groom to be.

Engagement portrait photograph sessions are a good idea for a number of reasons. It is helpful for us to meet in person before the big day and get to know each other better. I can see how you respond to the camera, and each other, and we can both see what works best in terms of poses and shots. It also gives you an idea of the kind of photographs I will take on the wedding day. You can use the photographs as part of your engagement announcement or even in your wedding invites.

Here are some of my favourite shots from this session, enjoy! πŸ™‚
